About The Owner

Sydnie's kind heart and compassion for giving her hands to others led her to Saint Anselm College where she graduated with a Bachelors in Science and Nursing. After working in health care for years before and after graduating, she looked for a change. Sydnie moved from Boston, Massachusetts to Essex Junction, Vermont where she found a love for being outdoors. More importantly, her lifelong dream of owning a dog would finally come true. Sydnie rescued Otto from Georgia, through NYC Second Chance Rescue. From day one, Sydnie's tenderhearted personality and love of dogs inspired her to give Otto the best life possible. She soon realized that putting time and effort into training was one of the best ways to do so. Empowered by the relationship she and Otto now shared, along with Otto's new found happiness, joy, and freedom in life, came her urge to allow every dog and owner to feel the same way. She combined all of these passions and interests, while having Otto by her side, and created this career that has brought her more pleasure and enjoyment than she could have ever imagined.

You can find Sydnie, her boyfriend Dane, and their two dogs out and about hiking, paddle boarding, and exploring Vermont. In the Fall, you can meet them all at Whitcomb's Land of Pumpkins and Corn Maze!

A graduate of this course, taught by Rhonda Bilodeau, a highly established certified professional dog trainer and mentor, who focuses on training methods that allow dogs to think more positively and feel safe in the world around them. My Dog Camp taught Sydnie everything she needed to know about starting a business and training she needed to start her dog camp business.

Sydnie took this course also by Rhonda Bilodeau, to master mindful training methods to teach dogs how to cope with their traumas and stressors, relax, and nurture more confidence and optimism within them. Throughout this course, Sydnie is taught how to address dog behaviors such as "hyperactivity, fearfulness, aggression, reactivity, lack of ability to relax, and anxiety." -Happy Dog Rescue

Meet My Dogs

Otto

Otto is a 2 year old Boxer, Pitbull, Terrier, Hound mix! He was rescued as a puppy from Georgia through NYC Second Chance Rescue. Otto was Sydnie's greatest inspiration in starting this business. He also grew Sydnie's love for dogs, especially rescues. He has the biggest heart, loves to be around other dogs, loves his humans, and is along for most adventures Sydnie goes on. Otto has and continues to teach Sydnie so much about dogs, and now helps Sydnie teach other dogs while out at dog camp. When Otto is not out at dog camp, he can be found playing fetch, frisbee, or playing with his friends at our farm.

Pepper

Pepper is a 2 year old Arubian Cunucu mix, rescued from Aruba through Sgt. Peppers Friends, in January of 2023. She is the sweetest girl, loves the snow, and loves to be by her humans side. Pepper has opened Sydnie's eyes to how much trauma and little to no socialization as a puppy affects a dog. Sydnie is excited to work with Pepper to address her stressors, teach her how to relax, and feel safe around other dogs. Sydnie looks forward to Pepper's debut out at dog camp in the future!
